Partners

Hynt is a collaborative project. There are five main partners working together to make it happen.

arts council of wales

arts council of wales

Hynt has been funded and initiated by Arts Council of Wales. They wanted to see a major change in how disabled customers access the arts in Wales.

“We believe that as a public body, the Arts Council of Wales and the activities we support - whether through annual revenue or project funding - should be accessible to everyone in Wales.  Equalities are a moral, social, creative and cultural imperative.

Hynt is a priority for Council who see the introduction of this innovative scheme as a key component in the Arts Council’s Equalities Action Plan.  As a public body, the Arts Council is expected to be a visible and enthusiastic champion of initiatives to increase access to the arts for disabled people.  And the Arts Council expects the key organisations that it funds to adopt a similarly progressive stance.  Council absolutely believes in the benefits to audiences across Wales of adopting a consistent, nationwide scheme that will improve the quality of experiences at theatres and arts centres for disabled people.”
